The silver color goes perfectly with my stainless steel dishwasher and looks like a perfect match for it. A green light on my dishwasher means that the cleaning time will expire after a while, so it was not always clear whether the dishwasher was running. This magnet works great! Of course, you have to remember to move it to the clean or dirty side depending on your needs. We always open the dishwasher when the cycle is over to let it cool down. Our house rule is that whoever opens it must also move the magnet to clean it, and whoever empties it must then move it to dirty it. We also love that it has a slider instead of having to be lifted and flipped like many other styles. This purchase was great for our family and we all love it.
