Review on πŸŽ’ CamelBak Mini M.U.L.E. Kids Hydration Backpack: 50 oz Water Capacity for Active Children by Scott Rao

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Disappointing disappointing low quality backpack compared to other camelbaks

I have 2 other Camelbaks - Snoblast and regular MULE - and I bought this for my 9 year old. Connect the hose to the bladder to lick. Unlike other Camelbaks, the Mini doesn't use a fancy snap-in system, instead simply sliding onto a plastic HydroLock. This connection leaks fairly easily, since the hose is slightly displaced and loses its tightness. It is also too easy to improperly close the bladder lid, resulting in leakage. The lid is held by a thin plastic cup that popped out the first time you poured. It was frustrating to slide it back in and then it kept getting in the way of closing it. Finally, removing/inserting the bladder is very time consuming and frustrating because the hole is so small. Unlike other Camelbaks, there is no zipper here - you stuff it at the end through a small hole at the top of the hydration compartment. these inferiorities.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Minor issues
