Have purchased 3 of these lights this year. Two of them have already failed. I suspect that the failure is NOT the LED itself, but the LED Driver inside, overheating, then frying. I have these lights mounted on the roof of my house. I have had to change them more frequently now than the compact flourescent flood lights I had before and that defeats one of the main purposes of LED conversion! I imagine these LED driver failures are due to the fact that the light housing has no heat sink on or in it to dissipate heat. The LED drivers are not easy to come by in terms of replacing them and are the most expensive part of the light. As you might imagine, climbing up on the roof of two story house to change out these lights is an unnerving, difficult proposition. My intention with replacing old lighting with LED flood replacements was to prevent having to go up on the roof to replace them, potentially, ever again.but two of the 3 have failed in a shorter time frame than traditional lighting needed replaced!
