It was finally time to open a new bottle of oil and I settled on the tin can with the 1/2 imprint. Filled with 1" headspace and the first time I used it I found I had to turn it around a bit to allow the oil to flow. Put it on and after cooking came back to clean the counter and to clean and there was more than just an oil ring underneath. I think it leaked all over the place. I screwed it down but it was still leaking under the spout ring. I thought maybe it was just a bad silicone gasket so I pulled another one Cap out and as soon as I got my hands on it, the flip top cap popped. That's "welding" and it was done poorly. I have what I have and won't buy anything else. Maybe I'll try another variety .FYI - I have this because the spouts on top of the bottles are always too big to fit in the most stove-friendly cabinet, I figured the smaller jar would allow me to keep it in the dark and save on the oil I use it almost every day but only a tiny dab. Too bad it's not easy to find a shorter bottle or a better spout.
