I dropped my phone yesterday and the Witkeen screen protector cracked (PHOTO 1). I received this screen protector a year ago (at the airport) for my iPhone 6 Plus. This was the third (proprietary) screen protector I've purchased; The first was for the smaller iPhone 4s, the second for my current phone but with changed cases and the other protection was too thick. If, like me, you search the internet for a small but important item like this and see several thousand results, you tend towards either the cheapest (most starred) or the most expensive; Everyone else in the middle is a toss-up where shipping costs are usually the deciding factor. The Witkeen DefenSlim screen protector sits in the middle, but I'm very happy with it. My first screen protector cost more than double this one (I won't mention the name here) and did a good job (unfortunately every screen protector I had dropped my phone and they all did the same). , what they wanted). In my opinion, my experience with the Witkeen DefenSlim has been exceptional, especially when I'm really unaware of the tiny differences in performance from brand to brand that can make a huge difference in price. However, I want to share my experience so you can make a more informed decision. For 1. The screen protects the phone screen from cracking and/or destruction; it does what it says on the tin, which isn't always the case. 2. Picture/graphic quality is excellent. I have HD version.3. Touch screen interaction is excellent; I would give 9/10. The only time I have problems is when I'm wearing gloves (touch screen gloves); I have to press hard or take off the glove. Luckily I live in California now, so I won't be wearing gloves very often. 4. Very thin, suitable for almost any type of case; I was skeptical of its ability to protect at this thickness but it is.5. Rounded/bevelled screen edges to avoid snagging on protruding threads, pocket corners etc. (PHOTO 2)6 It turns out 2 screens. Having an extra screen on hand when you drop your phone face first on the concrete just before you embark on a long drive is worth its weight in gold; It's like finding a one-year $20 bill in your jacket pocket. Not that ordering a screen is difficult, the hardest part is deciding which of the 25,000 Prime vendors selling screen protectors to order from. Avoiding this alone is worth the price.7. It's easy to take off the old broken screen and attach a new one (see con's #4 if you're new to smartphone screen removal). Very easy to clean even after being touched by children who seem to make everything they touch sticky. I use a CVS all-purpose lens wipe, then an eyeglass wipe. I usually wash my glasses first, then my phone. Yes, my glasses are sticky for some reason too.9. The installation guide is simple and clear, the cleaning wipes and screen are well labeled. (PHOTO 3-6) Cons: 1. On my first screen (the one I just broke) I had an annoying bubble in the corner that wouldn't go away. After about 3 weeks I used the hair dryer on hot for a minute or two and the blister was gone.2. The edges of the screen don't reach the edge of the phone. I know you can fit larger/bulky cases with this feature, but since I have a larger phone model, I tend towards thinner screens and have a 1/4 inch gap abutting the phone. annoying. (PHOTO 2 & 7) 3. Okay, these are small things, but you get a small sticker (a piece of tape) that you can use to put various hairs or dust on the screen, so you don't have to use your fingers. While this is a good idea, it's not entirely clear in the instructions, and I'm the kind of person who doesn't usually have extra parts after a product is assembled. The tape mocked me (PHOTO 8) 4. The instructions do not state the recommended or best way to remove the old cracked screen. A pair of serrated scissors, I figured better instructions on how to remove the old screen should probably be included, so if you do you can avoid big scratches getting stuck in the center of your iPhone screen... the screen you bought to order protect a screen protector.5. Although I don't think it's "Kon" I was politely asked to add it. Don't put the screen next to your cat.
