Not quite the right size for knives a professional would use. I bought these to fill in some of my covers that were broken or old and didn't hold knives. They are too short, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch on most of my knives. Suitable for kitchen knife drawer. The only one that really goes with any knife is my 3 inch paring knife. They are too short for my standard boning knife, 5.5" flat knife, 4" paring knife. 7" Nakiri, 8" chef's knife, 8.6" and forget my 9.4" 10.4" chef's knife, my slicer or serrated bread knife.
