Review on JBL Charge 5 Squad: Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker with USB Charge Out by Aditya ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Im not particularly happy, but basically everything is fine.

We used the Charge 4 for several years, gave it away, and decided to take the Charge 5. Let''s go through the main cons: 1. The difference is not noticeable in volume, and the sound quality at low volume seems to be lower. 2. Version 5 does not allow you to play music from another device (even a previously connected one) without pressing the pairing button. On version 4, this possibility was 3. Volume difference at level 4-5 is too big. As a result, we almost always listen quieter than we would like. 4. Application settings with an equalizer and setting sounds on / off regularly flies. At the same time, the sound of switching on and connecting to the speaker is loud enough to scare a small child. 5. The battery charge lasts less than version 4.

Pros
  • Loud sound, there is an equalizer in the application
Cons
  • Unlike Charge 4, it does not allow switching between sources, somewhere between 4 and 5 volume levels there is a very big difference: at 4 it is still very quiet, and at 5 it is immediately very loud and you cannot specify an intermediate level
