Macarons don't sit well on this rug. The pasta template has a small rim that is not made of the same material as the bottom of the pasta circle. The noodles rise and then deflate because the legs get caught in a small ledge. And they are impossible to bake: the bottom is always undercooked and the top is overcooked. The mat is too thick.
