Our dog loves to ride in the backpack (which can also be carried as a front bag) when he is tired after a long walk. He never tries to get out (there's also a safety clip that snaps onto the seat belts). He loves to peek out and ride around as long as he stays around. We think it helps if he's worried too. Excellent quality backpack. We put a folded beach towel on the bottom to make it sit a little higher and make it a little more stable. A strap came loose but was easy to put back on. I give it 5 stars because the overall quality is good, our dog loves it and it has plenty of pockets that will come in handy for long walks.
