We bought it for an overland trip. We have three Chihuahuas weighing about 16 pounds. All three fit easily in a backpack. I only slightly modified the safety feature, the leash, which was attached to the backpack, by sewing on two more leashes. I would recommend this product if you have a small dog.

I bought one for my cats, medium size so they can jump in when they get scared. They love it! You feel safe inside with plenty of room to turn and hide. The only downside is that the buckles are not at the bottom. I am disabled and it hurts to reach behind my back to fasten them (I wear the straps crossed on my back for better back support so I have to fasten them every time I use them), but otherwise great material, easy to use and cat approved!

I bought this because my mini Pomeranian loves to go for walks but hates traditional tote bags! He wants to see things and be seen. It's perfect for him. It has a bracket that allows us to attach it to our seat belts so that it does not fall out and get hurt. It's durable and appears to be quite durable. Our dog loves to ride in the backpack (which can also be carried as a front bag) when he is tired after a long walk. He never tries to get out (there's also a safety clip that snaps onto the seat belts). He loves to peek out and ride around as long as he stays around. We think it helps if he's worried too. All we have to do is slip you into this bag with a few small adjustments and we're done. Here's a backpack for me and a friend to show how it fits people of different sizes. It helps me move through the shops quickly when I'm walking my cat Edwin. I tighten his straps and then clip him to my bag. Sometimes he takes it better than other times. If it winds up, the adjustable neck opening helps and the strap helps keep it in place.
