I needed this to hold a 15.6 inch portable monitor. The monitor came with a stand, but I needed something better. I did a little research and decided to do it. There were two main reasons for this. "First, adjust to the size of the monitor. Many of these stands are designed for tablets and are too small. This one works for a larger size. Second, the angle of inclination. All other stands I've looked at (including the one that came with my monitor) don't hold the monitor up and down straight. This stand has enough arm cutouts to hold the monitor upright without any angle. It's exactly what I need. It's aluminum so it's solid It really ticked all the boxes.
