Review on πŸŽ™οΈ AT829CW Lavalier Microphone by Audio Technica for AT UniPak by Ronnie Staver

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good replacement for the AT Body Pack Lavalier Microphone.

Good microphone replacement for our Lavalier Audio Technica Body Pack. It had to be plugged in and turned on. It sounds good and works great as a replacement for our previous mic whose cable was deteriorating after 10 years of weekly use. You have to be careful when placing this microphone on the speaker to avoid the noise of movement while still being able to hear the voice well, but this is not uncommon for them. We use it at church so we only use it once a week. This mic's cord is too long for our use, but that's not too much of a problem. The length of the cable offers many options for transmitter placement, but in a church this is more of a nuisance than an advantage. If they made it about a foot shorter I would give them 5 out of 5. I've heard others have durability issues where the cable breaks from bending too much right at the connector and I think with a longer cable it can be tempting to wrap the cable around the transmitter and break it more easily , but with proper care this shouldn't be a problem. Just advise your employees not to abuse the cable (train them on such things) and you'll have years of trouble-free service.

Pros
  • Clothing-worn microphone for excellent but unobtrusive audio pickup. Extensive microphone capabilities provide clear, accurate playback with high intelligibility for presenters, hosts and other performers.
Cons
