Nicely made ill fitting cover with design flaws

I have a standard size '87 Chevy pickup seat and it fits the length, width and height but the wedge system isn't great when you use it use It gets behind the seat very often - it keeps sliding forward and the backrest is difficult to recline fully. Also, the skirt's drawstring design is a good idea, but poorly executed - in order for it to actually work, it needs to hang under the underside of the front of the seat. It hangs about an inch higher so when you tighten it it goes about halfway through and works for a while but when I take my dog with me (main reason for buying) he yanks at it around corners and it ends up in you large balls of fabric lying on the seat. To make this work I had to install bushings and zip ties (10 total) to hold the corners in place and prevent the rear wedges from moving forward when you step behind the seat. Another design idea that sounds good is adjusting the top of the seatback with velcro - the velcro is in the wrong position so when you tighten it there is no hook/loop in the right place for it to work - you have to tie a strap in the right position. Another thing is the camouflage design - I couldn't find a solid color cover like I wanted, so I had to go for the least ugly design (no real downside of this cover, but why don't they make it all black (or brown). or blue etc.) .) monochrome?). The good thing is that it looks pretty well made and the fabric is *maybe* stiff enough for my dog, although when I put the grommets on I found the material wasn't tear resistant, which is a bad idea.
