I was concerned that I would run into programming problems because one of my originals no longer controlled the door locks (it still worked in the ignition (the transponder worked). I have a 2007 Dodge Dakota. and the programming worked, although it didn't seem to follow the exact pattern of the security light flashing and chiming as instructed.I removed the back of the key fob to check the battery and one of the battery holders didn't stay in place making it difficult was putting it back together, it was very difficult to snap them into place so I had to use pliers to snap them shut (very carefully I might add), found that they were compatible I called three locksmiths and none of them were thrilled with their program I understand because they want to sell their own for 10x what it is worth. They all quoted the phrase "50/50 chance they'll work," which I now believe is some sort of "CYA." The key cutting was more expensive than I thought at $20 per key. I figured it would be cut and programmed and it would take me 25 miles to Ace Hardware but the locksmiths wanted $75 and $100 for programming. Some reviews complained about the range, but I tested them from the house 40 feet from the truck and they work fine. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the battery holder was not securely attached, but I will fix that with super glue if I need to replace the battery. as I understand it because they want to sell theirs for 10x their value.
