You must have the original keys for it to work!

I can't comment on the value of these keys because I haven't used them, we lost one of our original Jeep Wrangler keys so we bought these spare keys thinking , we could program it you. NOT CORRECT! Car manufacturers make it so that you have to go to the dealer to get a lost key for your car. unless you have a $3,000 scanner. To program these new keys, 1- you must first cut them, 2- you must have the TWO ORIGINAL KEYS that came with the car, 3- insert the first key, remove it and insert the…

Programmed with 1 service key and 1 tag

Day 1: Both new keys work great. I started with just the valet key and 1 fob for my '09 Wrangler. I was able to program both new keys using (two button method). Before buying I checked if the car would go into "program” mode (beep after inserting the second key in the ignition). My servant key is chipped so I guess it matters. I asked if it works without two key fobs, so in my case the answer is yes, but you definitely need two keys already "tied" to your car. I'm not sure if that matters, but…

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Better than the dealer but not as smooth as I was hoping.

These key blanks fit my 2006 PT Cruiser perfectly. A local locksmith could cut them for about $2 each. The programming instructions (on the website listed on the note that came with the keys) were very simple; Unfortunately I couldn't program it myself. There could be several reasons - for example the two working keys I had were the original key and a later cloned key, rather than the two original keys. Luckily I found another locksmith that programs car keys remotely and he got the job done…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Wrangler JK on keyless entry systems

Great for my 2018 JK I was a bit concerned because they say it works in 2016 but don't mention '17 or '18 but I don't know of any significant difference in JK from 2016 to 2018 so I took a chance. You will need to cut the keys before attempting to program them and you will need 2 already programmed keys to program them. If you haven't already programmed two keys, I understand you need to program them through a computer connected to your vehicle. My locksmith asked for $100 which I declined but…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Secret

Works well, good range.

I was concerned that I would have programming problems because one of my original ones no longer controlled the door locks (it still worked in the ignition (transponder worked). I have a 2007 Dodge Dakota and the programming worked , although it didn't seem to match the exact pattern of the security light flashing and ringing as instructed.I removed the back of the key fob to check the battery and one of the battery holders didn't stay in place so it was difficult to get back to put together…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Flamboyant
