Review on 2-Pack Keyless2Go Replacement Keyless Entry Remote Car Keys for 3 Button Vehicles OHT692427AA by Eric Kim

Works well, good range.

I was concerned that I would have programming problems because one of my original ones no longer controlled the door locks (it still worked in the ignition (transponder worked). I have a 2007 Dodge Dakota and the programming worked , although it didn't seem to match the exact pattern of the security light flashing and ringing as instructed.I removed the back of the key fob to check the battery and one of the battery holders didn't stay in place so it was difficult to get back to put together. The backs were very difficult to snap into place so I had to close them with pliers (very carefully I might add) to make sure they are compatible. I called three locksmiths and none of them were thrilled with their programming, which I understand because they want to sell theirs for 10x what they're worth . They all quoted the phrase "only 50-50 chance they'll work," which I say believing that an hour is a thing like "CYA." The key cutting was more expensive than I thought at $20 per key. I figured it would be cut and programmed and it would take me 25 miles to Ace Hardware but the locksmiths wanted $75 and $100 for programming. Some reviews complained about the range, but I tested them from the house 40 feet from the truck and they work fine. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the battery holder wasn't attached securely, but I'll fix that with super glue if I need to replace the battery.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Flamboyant
