Review on Beadalon Artistic Nylon Wire Straightener Tool - 228S-420 with 3 Rollers: Effective Wire Straightening Solution by Carrie Spencer

Beadalon is very good at making and selling handy tools at reasonable prices and this simple wire straightener is no exception. The tool consists of 3 nylon rollers that are connected at the ends, which allows them to be folded. You put the wire on the reels, put the reels together and pull the wire through. (A short video on the product pages demonstrates this.) The straightener works exactly as described and does its job very well. Please note that as stated on the packaging, this tool is intended for synthetic wire (aka German wire) which typically has a base metal core with a paint coating or finish. Nylon rollers protect the wire from damage or stripping. I have NOT tried this tool with precious metal wire such as semi hard or very soft sterling steel which scratches very easily. This tool was not designed for precious metals and I suspect it doesn't work well with them.
