Not even used for kitchen and dining room

This article was easy to read and I believe it is correct. The picture in the ad led me to believe the probe was about 2 inches, which is what I needed. After re-reading the ad after receiving the item, I realized I needed to insert the probe into the side of the steak, not the top. This would give me the wrong impression of the doneness of the steak. I'm sure this item will work great when I've cooked roasts.
