I was looking for unusual toys that could only be found in "Santa's workshop". I've bought several of these little clockwork robots and they've been a huge hit. Two years later the kids are still playing with it, although flint sparks do wear out after so much play in the first 6 months or so. The husband replaced them with new flints (lighter kind) but inserting them into the holes was NOT easy and required a bit of determination. I would always buy more of these and they make a great mail order gift from that aunt or uncle who always finds the weirdest, coolest toys. :) Update - they will NOT stand up to peanut butter. LOL Son finally broke the spring but I still recommend this toy as a one-of-a-kind, NON-CANDY stocking or Easter basket gift, or as a birthday gift or thank you gift for a science loving teacher's desk. :D
