Review on Enhance Dishwashing Safety with GE WD21X10261 Interlock Switch by Jeff Wells

In my case the switch is used to shut off the tumble dryer (GE/Hotpoint) in the event of a broken drive belt. The new switch worked great, but due to the design of the dryer, replacing the switch required extensive disassembly of the dryer. The dryer is the cheapest model that we "inherited” when we bought the house. Unless you're very mechanically savvy, I wouldn't recommend a do-it-yourself switch replacement on an older, less expensive model of this type. But after replacing the derailleur and figuring out how to put the new belt on the tensioner, which is in an awkward spot, the dryer now works just fine. This part is a genuine GE part, not an aftermarket replacement.
