Audio and video accessories fire hazard
Bought and used for 6 months with no issues until I smelled burnt and noticed the switch was very hot. I threw it away thinking it was defective and bought another one (of the same model). The second model produced the same burning smell after about two months of use, but this time the plastic underneath the switch melted, causing a small fire on the carpet. Luckily, I was working in my office when this happened, quickly unplugging and dousing the smoldering carpet. I have since filed a complaint with the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Needless to say, do not buy this device.
