it worked fine until I got a splatter then burned out. I wouldn't recommend it, if you have thousands of dollars worth of devices hooked up to it, buy a better one. but it saved my TV and PS3 from a splash fried monster. it made a whistling noise when it stopped working. Maybe some kind of alarm clock?

If you are spending thousands of dollars on a home theater system, this product is a must. $30-$40 will get you a warranty on your hardware as this product has a $25,000 payback if your hardware is damaged by a power surge, including lightning. Why buy a store guarantee when this product guarantees it at a much cheaper price? Colored tongues will come in handy. Make sure you use stickers on your outlets so you can easily identify which plug is which when setting up your system.
