Security threat is good for power strips and surge protectors

Security issue - product caught fire after turning on. An electrician came to check the outlet and he confirmed it was the appliance and not the outlet. Please be careful.

  • Elegant design

DO NOT BUY! I got electrocuted!

DO NOT USE! This product has shocked me twice since I bought it. Every time I try to plug something into it I get electrocuted. For this reason I no longer use it in the dorm, but it's too late to return it now. :/ Not recommended!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Can't remember

Great idea that shorted out and sparked when turned on.

It made a rattling noise. Something in him was weakened. When it was plugged in, it sparked and shorted out. I wasn't there when it was hooked up, my spouse did it. But it wasn't worth trying again. It was such a great idea and it would be very, very useful. I would get a replacement and try again but I wasn't given that option so I just went back to Revain.

Pros
  • It's great
Cons
  • Compatibility

Can only be connected straight from the front or side, not at an angle.

Pretty good product, judging by the pictures I thought the plugs could be placed at any angle but in fact they need to be pointing straight forward or straight to the side or you won't be in able to plug your item into the outlet. in. This works great when you have a lot of bulky outlets and things you need in a common area. I have a smart end cap that I was able to install here by placing it on the front and aligning the other two end caps to the side profile.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Great but one caveat

Seems to do everything it says it does and it's great to have swiveling outlets. They allow you to plug all those little electronics into the power supply outlets. I have a restriction for users. I'm no expert, but after googling I've come to the conclusion that you should never plug a surge protector style power strip into another surge protector (this device). If you're buying this to help with power wiring and need additional outlets, plug in a standard power strip; Do not connect a surge…

No reset button? The?

No over-voltage reset. It's like having a car without a spare tire, a parachute without a spare tire, or a hospital without a spare surgeon. Although I appreciate the fact that it protects my devices... Like every other surge protector on the market... it should be resettable. Nothing says "burn my house down" like a surge protector that doesn't have a reset button. Because most people just remove the surge protector when it blows and plug their device into the same outlet they need to protect.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • No auto-reset

Wonderful device!

I'm sure I'll love it once I install it. I live in an apartment building and I can't do that. I was a little afraid of the idea of removing the front panel with the live output. I can do anything with a hammer and nails, but I don't know much about electricity. Anyone have any advice? Update: Turning off the power was entirely optional. You don't even remove the bezel, just a small screw in the middle, and only if you want to protect the device from bumps, tugging, or the weight of multiple…

Sturdy, minimalist design

This Echogear Wall Surge Protector is a very useful adapter with a minimalist design.🔸 Same width as a wall plate - about 3 inches wide. removed from the wall and with its rotating plugs it is so handy for any type of socket and also when the socket is in a narrow space behind furniture. A NOTICE. Although the sockets swivel, you can only plug them in when the socket is facing forward or to the side. Remember that the outlet will be flush with the top of the wall plate (if installed in an…
