My Burton duffel bag (also 70L) let me down this week, or rather the strap snapped after years of withstanding the incredible amount of stuff I pack in it - grown-ups Men struggled to lift it, and more. I was asked several times if I would steal dumbbells or a huge amount of towels from the local gym. You understand - when I go to the gym from work it has everything I need and then something else, I need a durable bag. I need something big, easy to use - that is, easy-to-access pockets and comfortable straps; something I liked the look of and something that could hold all my stuff. I looked at Burton, Ogio and finally settled on this Helly Hensen bag as it was the size I wanted (70L); I loved the bright orange color and the price was a steal as they were over $100, but the orange is significantly cheaper! unpacking; and you can also easily find your stuff when you have that much access. It actually has two inner pockets, contrary to the listing which says one: one is on the inner wall of the bag and holds small items like cage/keys etc. The other runs on the underside of the lid, it's large and ventilated, it's like that cool to dress up after workout. There is also a large external pocket on one side of the bag. The bag is very light and comes with a small outer laundry bag. It's great for travel as you can slip it into your suitcase once it's safely stowed in the small laundry bag; and it takes up little space/weight. If you need another bag for souvenirs, linens, etc. on the way back, you can use it as another hand luggage. It's a great durable polyester/PVC blend which makes it waterproof and you can wipe it clean which I really like. At first I was concerned that the material wouldn't hold the weight of all my stuff, the same materials that ripped the seams right out of the Burton bag... but it holds up well and allows space and weight. The only thing I did I didn't like the straps at first - the design is great as you can use it as a backpack if that's your thing, use the hand straps to carry it or wear it over the shoulder which is my preference so was one needed minor reconfiguration To release the straps, unlatch one strap until I have one left that hooks diagonally across the bag, but it also makes the bag easier to manage and the strap is comfortable and doesn't cut into my shoulder. my options - I'm so glad I chose this one. Amazing price (just search the price and you will see everything), love the material, the bright orange color and the fact that this is a huge and most importantly durable bag that I can use daily to carry all my stuff to wear!
