Review on Andrea Communications NC 181VM USB Noise Canceling by Karen Anderson

This is a review by Andreas Microphone. Overall I'm happy with the mic, although there was one thing that was odd about my particular purchase. When the purchase arrived it was in a plain white unsealed box. Apparently it wasn't in the original manufacturer's packaging, so I'm assuming it was a return. However, the mic itself came in a sealed plastic envelope with instructions attached. It appears to have been in very good condition and has not been used. I only use Andrea's microphone to use Dragon Dictation. Accordingly, I haven't had a chance to use the earbuds yet and can't say if the quality is good or bad. In addition, there is a built-in mute button and volume control. The volume controls only control the headphone volume, so I didn't have to use them. I don't use the microphone mute button because I only use commands to control whether Dragon Dictation is active or not. Overall, I have to say that I am quite satisfied with the purchase of this microphone. I've found that I get better results with Dragon Dictation when the microphone itself is close to my mouth but slightly below my bottom lip (rather than directly in front of my mouth). In addition, the headset itself is quite comfortable. The only reason I am giving this purchase four stars instead of five is that it was not sealed in the original manufacturer's packaging.
