Review on Walnut Hollow Designed Creative Soldering by Chris Hunt

This was my first soldering iron. Neither in the product description nor on the packaging was it pointed out that the solder would release toxic fumes. However, after about twenty minutes of use (jewelry making), I suddenly became very dizzy. The iron slipped and burned my fingers (I think it could have been worse). After that I felt bad for several hours. Maybe (emphasis on "maybe") it would have been better if I had worn a mask, but I didn't know what to do as there was no indication it was necessary. was inconsistent and didn't always melt the solder. I will return it and get better iron and solid core solder with a separate flux.
