I am replacing a 20 year old MXL shock that had stretched bands and had a strut clip fall off or broken and lost in some 5th dimension. I could have just bought new tapes but I liked that they came with a low profile pop filter. That alone was worth the money to me because my gooseneck pop filter makes me sick. This is probably a better filter and more adjustable in terms of distance, but such a problem for my purposes, which are mostly related to working with voiceovers. The shock mount works great. My only complaint is that the lock nut is cheap. I'll probably dig up a better one from another stand or mount I have. But then again, for the price I paid, this thing is great.
