This review debunks all reviews below 4 stars. I tested this MagSafe charger on my iPhone 12 Promax without a case. I first tested this at work with my international flatbed truck carrying a flatbed trailer. I have used the vent assembly with the charger for maximum safety and have driven over 172 miles through two cities, provincial roads and freeways with no problems. Even through roads under construction, the magnet held onto my iPhone 12 promax. I was so impressed that I decided to use it on my private car. I then tested the suction cup mount on the Toyota and purposely drove over the potholes, without ever dropping the phone. (Tested again without cover). I was initially skeptical after reading bad reviews about holding magnets and holding suction cups. My advice to buyers who have written bad reviews is to make sure your case is MagSafe compatible. And if your case doesn't last, then buy a different and better case. For the suction cup assembly, I recommend using the round plastic disc that comes with this product. The adhesive on the bottom is not strong enough to hold the suction cup assembly and the heavy iPhone 12 together, especially in hot weather. I suggest using some clear gorilla glue AROUND the tape under the plastic disc. (Do not use superglue, Gorilla clear adhesive will not damage faux leather or vinyl.) Leave it overnight and then insert and lock the suction cup (do not use glue on the suction cup) and bingo. If you live in a hot area. Use a sun visor and protect it from heat. Simply put, this product deserves at least five stars! I will not trust my $1200 phone without a case with any product.
