Very nice set made in England. All chisels are sharp. You can cut the edge of the paper or sharpen a pencil right out of the box. You can polish them a bit with water stones, but I don't see the need for it yet. All buttons are large, just under 5 inches, oval instead of round. Top and bottom for positioning fingers Very comfortable in the hand Hardness not so outstanding compared to old Stanley Handyman chisels My set had cracks around the striking cap Not to the point of being unusable but still not a mark of quality Update 06/25/14 - replacement kit received The new kit does not have the defect I had with the first - ie cracks in the handle
