Review on 🔋 Enhanced Cooling Performance with the Belkin F5L001 Laptop Cooling Pad by Sean Xayamonty

cheap price cheap product

I bought it in July '09. I bought it because my husband had one for his laptop and it seemed to work fine. They had the same model number but his USB connector is plugged in permanently and mine was detachable and that is the crux of the problem. My Revain Belkin has been working fine for less than six months. (I've never dropped or mishandled a device.) Pros: Powerful fan, great cooling, cools when connected via USB whether computer is on or off, convenient tilt design, fan motor keeps running after daily use 2- 3 hrs Cons: USB cable included. disconnected, making the fan unusable The problem I had was with the USB port. The internal socket disappeared in the cooling pad and had no proper contact with the USB cable. I removed the back of the unit and temporarily fixed the problem by tapeing the connector to the edge. After that, I never unplugged the USB cable again for fear of loosening the socket. But unfortunately the cord still came out and the internal socket couldn't take it again. My husband's model had the USB cable permanently connected to the inside, so this problem does not occur. The inside was cheap plastic and a broken plastic holder resulted in the plug being placed in the cooling pad. The fact that the USB cable is completely disconnected from the cooling pad is not apparent in any of the images, but one image shows a square dark area at the top of the pad where the cable connects. Without this fatal flaw, I would have given the cooling pad five stars.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Not sure
