This product works. Too good. The lowest setting of 1 in 99 has my 16 lb and 22 lb dogs squealing in pain. We have tried all 3 collars on ourselves and the 1st option hurts me and leaves marks on my arm. I don't understand why the lowest setting has to be so high when there are 98 higher settings. In most reviews of such collars, a person doesn't feel them until level 7 or so. The value 1 here is like a bee sting. We'll still use them, especially the sound and vibration features, but I really don't like how high the value is from 1. I would have preferred a shock setting that doesn't make them squeak, which could be increased if needed. Also, a 16 pound dog is a pug, the breed this is recommended for, and weighs an average of 18 pounds. It's just weird because it's recommended for pugs and dogs over 20 pounds, and pugs weigh just under 20 pounds on average. A minor complaint might be that the collars come off fairly easily, but we can deal with that.
