The fabric is very soft and pleasant to the touch. However, as another reviewer pointed out, the belt doesn't stretch. This is a problem when you have a big booty like I do. (16 inch difference between my waist and hips) They look good, but I wanted shorts that I can relax and sleep in, not one that I have to do a booty dance to get fully dressed in (if you're more straight up and down, this may not be a problem). You are a bit small. I ordered size XL and they fit perfectly with the oversized Adidas or Under Armor shorts I have. When you wear them, they make great shorts.
