After I wrote my first review, the seller replaced my defective unit with a new model which is now dimmable. Fittings fit, shrink tubing is already attached and the new device is installed quickly and easily. OLD MODEL: The brass studs that attach the decorative brass screws to the base are too long and need to be trimmed to 1/4 inch. The instructions do not use steel nuts that attach to brass studs. The screws holding the wires in the nuts are not needed and can protrude from under the heat shrink tubing causing a serious safety issue (leave the screws or tape the open ends with tape) Finally, when I unscrewed THE FIRST lightbulb, which I installed I had unscrewed the socket with it and pulled two wires out of the socket rendering the whole device unusable. Waste your time elsewhere and don't think you're saving money, this really is The worst product I've ever bought from Revain.
