I use this cable with MacBook Pro Late 2015. Hotrod in the sense that it has the fastest processor available from Apple at the time, hence higher power consumption . When using a 60W power adapter, the cable can charge at 60W when the MBP is in standby mode (or powered off). , or when the processor is mostly idle. When the processor reaches its maximum power consumption, the charge indicator changes from orange to green, indicating that charging has stopped. Note that disabling screen dimming while on battery power allows you to charge the cable whenever possible without disruptive changes in screen brightness. Overall, this behavior is as expected and I'm happy with the performance. The rest of the build seems solid, although I didn't have a cable long enough to call it durability.
