Excellent and economical choice for new keychains

Good choice! I have a key fob for another car from this company that has been working great for four years. This is for my 2004 Honda LX Accord. I went to Batteries Plus Bulbs in a nearby town. Their cutting costs only $10 per key. So I made sure both keys fit in the door lock before I went home. At home I disassembled one of my old key fobs and took out the "chip". I had to use a blade and get it out of the plastic case. It will damage the old key fob, never mind because it didn't work anyway. Now we disassemble the new keychain. The chip blank comes out easily (there is no housing for the chip in the new key fob). Insert the old chip into the new key fob. Now you can enter with the key and start the car engine at this point. In order for the fob to unlock/lock the doors, you need to follow a few simple programming steps: You have 5 seconds to complete each step. If you need more than 5 seconds, you have to restart the whole process. You can try this process as many times as needed to complete the whole process. So, get in the car and close all the doors. 1) Switch the ignition to ON (II) (if you look closely at your ignition you will see the symbol II) 2) Press the lock button on the remote you are programming. 3) Switch the ignition to OFF (I). REPEAT THE ABOVE STEPS THREE TIMES5) Switch the ignition to ON (II) 6) Press the lock button. At this point, you will hear the door lock cycle (faint click), confirming that the car has entered programming mode. 7) Press the lock button again. The door locks will click again, confirming that the car has programmed the remote control. 8) Switch the ignition to OFF (I). The instructions I followed said if you need to program more remotes just do step 7 within 10 seconds. It didn't work for me, so I just started over with my second remote. If you have additional remotes, you must follow these steps for ALL.
