The flash itself is very good, light and strong enough as others have said, with fast loading times. There are two small hardware problems. First, the red-eye effect is very noticeable due to the size of the flash. I highly recommend a flash mount to set it off the camera body and off the lens axis, or just use it in reflection. Second, the flash exposure wheel is too easy to touch and change unintentionally. On a busy day of shooting, it's annoying to have to constantly check the dial to make sure it hasn't changed since you last picked up the camera. I don't need a lock, just more correction to avoid exposure errors. I managed to lose the included softbox on day one. I thought it's ok, I'll write to Nissin to ask where I can buy a replacement part. They responded immediately and referred me to Minoxusa, the American distributor. I used the email link provided, asked for a source for parts and nada. I emailed them a second time to say I was not impressed by the lack of a response and that was not answered either. Nissin wrote to let them know their dealer is missing and again an immediate response with a push to the dealer. Eventually I received an apology email stating that they were working on sending me a new part free of charge. I received it yesterday and am very grateful. Suggested that next time, by letting the customer know their email was received and addressed, you can avoid disappointment on everyone's part.
