Remember this is not a 1 minute job.

Took about an hour to get it right. I added a 2" wide, 1/2" thick foam rubber strip to the back half of the steering wheel to reduce the knurled feel of the steering wheel. The lid is stretched enough to accommodate it and provide a good, secure grip. It's only been worn for a few hours so I can't comment on durability or how long it will look good for, but so far it's been worth the effort.
