Review on 🌑️ Milwaukee 2269-20: Accurate 30:1 Infrared/Contact Temp-Gun for Reliable Temperature Readings by Daniel Ton

high quality IR thermometer

I only have a few Milwaukee tools from a rotary hammer to a screwdriver bit and now this infrared thermometer. All I can say is that the few Milwaukee tools I've owned were of the highest professional quality, no matter where they were made. The quality of the tool is entirely dependent on how much the tool maker is willing to pay for good quality and maintain quality control. It cannot be said that all Chinese instruments are cheaply made. In general, I agree that Chinese instruments made and sold by Chinese companies (as opposed to those bought and sold by American companies) have a high probability of being of poor quality, but if they are supplied by well-known brands of instruments . like Milwaukee, you can generally count on a quality tool regardless of the country of origin. I chose the more expensive 30:1 version because its smaller spot size makes temperature measurements more accurate compared to the typical 12:1 version. It has all the features I need such as B. High/low alarms, min/max/avg/difference readings, emissivity setting, etc. It comes with a thermocouple for contact measurement. The only downside to this thermometer is that it only has one laser pointer, right in the middle. I'd rather add an extra laser to show the width of the area being measured. At the moment I can only estimate the width of the area using the estimated distance and the 30:1 ratio. An additional laser would add only a few bucks to the price, but it was worth it. By the way, the emissivity of different materials can be measured with tape or matte black paint as a reference. Milwaukee probably should have mentioned this procedure in the instructions. I really like the thermometer in general. I bought mine online at Home Depot.
