Review on Stay Dry And Stylish On The Trail: Vostey Waterproof Men'S Hiking Chukka Boots by Robert Farrar

Purchased in Feb. 2021, I initially liked the boots. However, despite limited use - exclusively in winter as the shoe of choice to and from an office job in inclement weather (no significant use as a hiking boot) after approximately 8 months total wear and tear the soles on both boots have started to breakdown and are no longer waterproof. Unlike other shoes I own, something about this design as created a very uneven distribution of wear and tear across the sole to the point that parts of the sole look brand new while others have completely worn out and failed (see photo). It is unfortunate, as the boot is comfortable and the rest of the boot has held up well - still looking pretty much new. One star review based on the fact that this one issue has limited the actual usable life of the boot down to 7-9 months at best.
