You get a good spark if not, pre-charge resistor

I got this to make a solar powered UPS. If nothing is connected, its standby power fluctuates between 4 and 6 watts. If you stay below 1000W, it will take some time for the fan to turn on. I checked with a shrink gun at low power. I added a series resistor switch which I use to charge the inverter's capacitors before closing the main battery switch to the inverter. The highest loads I tested were only 1500W and the fan kicked on immediately. There were a lot of warnings in the manual about overvoltage and power factor, so don't worry.
