Review on 3ft Amazon Basics Mini-HDMI to HDMI TV Adapter Cable - Supports Ethernet, 3D, Audio Return by Lisa Holland

I bought a new Lenovo ThinkVision P27h 27" QHD monitor. The maximum resolution is 2560 x 1440 at 60 Hz. I am using it on an old nVidia Geforce 640 v2. The graphics card only has DVI and mini HDMI while the monitor only has USB-C, DP and HDMI I bought this mini HDMI to HDMI cable and when I first got it working the recognized and recommended Computer only 1920 x 1080 as max resolution It was a nice picture but not the resolution QHD (2K) resolution was not an option I had to go into nVidia control panel and create my own resolution 2560 x 1440 @ 60Hz was initially very blurry I've played around with different refresh rates but none of them cleared up the image A little further down the nVidia control panel you'll find the 'Time' section Everything was set to 'Automatic' which usually does the sic here is choice for most things so i started thinking i think this cable was lem's problem even though it is rated for 4k resolutions. I decided to go to the "Time" section and see what happens. There are default presets such as: GTF, DMT, CVT, etc. As soon as I tried GTF, the picture immediately cleared up and presented what I expected. I also tried DMT and got the same clean results. So if you are having trouble using this cable with higher resolution displays, be sure to check all of your graphics card settings. My setup: - Windows 10 Professional, v1803, 64-bit - nVidia Geforce 640 v2, driver 391.35 - Lenovo ThinkVision P27h monitor It's a bit premature to talk about other parts of the cable like durability and whatnot. However, I'm giving it 5 stars because you may be paying outrageously high prices for super fancy cables that may not deliver any measurable value. For this cable to be less than $5, I'm NOT complaining!
