This set is packed in normal zip bag with printed thick paper. There is thin cardboard inside the kit to hold the shape (I suspect this helps with the manufacturing process). When unpacking, I didn't notice a strong chemical smell. Includes 2 pillowcases and duvet cover. First impressions are that this is a fairly cheap set. I didn't expect much for the price. After washing the cover and pillowcases I definitely changed my mind. I've washed this set twice and each time it seems to get softer. The light gray color doesn't fade after washing and I haven't noticed any shrinkage. The zipper is nicely hidden between the side edges, so you don't even notice it after putting the duvet on. The zip hole is large enough to climb in and tie the ends of the duvet to the pre-attached corner ties that come with the cover. . After using duvet covers with buttons, I completely switch to covers with zippers. The queen size is perfect for my queen quilt and there is almost no more sagging on the sides. Pillowcases are the typical queen pillowcases that go well with a queen pillow. They don't hold it in place and seem to be the right length to not have a big empty flap at the end. They are as soft as a duvet cover. All in all, this is a great duvet cover set.
