Recommended but has a dedicated USB port for the computer

It really helps improve my laptop's (Dell Latitude) ability to pick up what people are saying in "plain speech" during zoom Hybrid classes say, and also face-to-face conferences in 8ft x 14ft conference rooms where people sit at a table and distance along the back wall. The USB needs to be plugged directly into the laptop (cannot be part of a splitter otherwise it is one and my 3rd is a USB flash drive). I had to get an HDMI video cable so both didn't require port attention. On the net, some people still complain that they can't hear the masked participants talking all the time, even though they transmit a microphone with a long cable, but I wonder if that's true? Honestly, it's not your computer speaker. The vast majority say it helps and they hear perfectly. It's actually very portable (and compact and lightweight) so it's easy to slip into my laptop bag as I travel from class to class and meeting to meeting. I use a pouch to keep the long cord from getting damaged by anything else in my bag. A handy mute button also helps a lot.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
