Review on Enhance Your Vehicle's Performance with the GM Genuine Parts 213-4337 Mass Airflow Sensor by Marlin Atonyo

I love this new mass air flow sensor! Read the entire post for helpful information.

I have a 2003 Chevy Impala LS 3.8L. I bought a mass air flow sensor from another manufacturer a few months ago for almost half what I paid for this one. I've had problems since installing it. I didn't think it was the mass air flow sensor because it was new and the manufacturer is good and I've bought parts from them before with no problems. I went through everything I could think of and tested. I've exchanged parts for hundreds of dollars without permission. I was about to give up and throw my car off a cliff when I remembered when I first started this journey and read that any MAF sensor would not fit in this and many other GM vehicles. It should be a direct fit, OEM, like the core type. So I made one last try and bought this item. Guess what. It worked! Please do yourself a favor and buy this for the first time and save a lot of time and money. FYI: I was having issues with the Long Term Fuel Trim (LTFT) getting so rich it was hitting the limit and the Check Engine Light (CEL) code PO172 came on. This was the only code there would be, except sometimes (after a reset) the catalytic converter code would also show PO420. If both of these codes work and you can't figure it out, check this mass air flow sensor and test it properly. Note that it can work but output a signal that is too unstable for the computer (ECM) to accept. It can only output code PO172 and this has happened to me a few times since the reset. If everything seems to be working fine, except that after warming up it can get difficult to start (you have to hold the pedal down a bit to get it buzzing). Think MAF. I really hope this helps someone like me spend many hours and some bucks on rabbit trails. This also applies to O2 sensors. Tip: Buy genuine AC Delco parts.
