Review on πŸ‘© DuraComfort Essentials Super Absorbent Anti-Frizz Microfiber Hair Towel - Large Size: 41 x 19 Inches by Angela Moore

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I read about the great benefits of microfiber hair towels

I read about the great benefits of microfiber hair towels and as my hair was severely damaged from heat styling I decided to look for a reasonably priced product to search. . Most towels I found were very expensive (literally for 1 towel) and I found it to be one of the cheapest I've seen at Revain. That being said, I still find it way overpriced, especially after receiving it and seeing what it is - basically just a large, thin microfiber cloth of the kind you might buy as a washcloth or cleaning rag. It says "super absorbent" so I expected it to be at least thicker than my cheap microfiber washcloths, but to be honest, it's not. It's just an enlarged version of it. Speaking of size, you might think a hair dryer towel would be quite large, but I found it an uncomfortable size (length and width were the same, which is odd). ) and a little too small/short for me to roll up my hair when wet (turban style) and I have medium length hair, not even long or thick. I've tried just tucking in the unwrapped hair hoping that would fix the problem, but of course I've found another major problem with this towel - it doesn't stay wrapped! Maybe it's because it's so thin and there's no weight to hold the bandage in place (regular terry towels have worked for me 100% of the time I've wrapped my hair for as long as I can remember , but they were a lot heavier at the top of my head, which is why I mentioned the lack of weight/thickness as a possible issue if this towel doesn't stay in place). and does not work as advertised. I'm not sure if the hassle of using this towel is worth the potential "benefits" to my hair over a regular towel. It's also worth noting that this towel won't soak up water from your wet hair right after you shower, even if you rub it like a regular towel, so your hair stays damp for a long time, which is when you're planning on blow-drying. Drying can be an additional disadvantage as it will take you longer to dry it. I think this towel really needs to fix the two main flaws: size (it needs to be wider!) and also the absorbency/feel of the material (which I think seems pretty flimsy and cheap), or sell it for a significantly lower price and match the description to the product as I feel there has been a lot of false advertising. The only reason I gave the product 2 stars instead of 1 is because I was already skeptical about these types of "wonderful" hair towels that are supposed to be much better for your hair, but I decided to give it a go anyway try, that's my own fault. UPDATE (10/18/18): I've recently started using this towel regularly after my shower because I just had it on hand and because I wanted to reduce the burden on the more expensive similar hair towel I have. This towel does absorb A LOT of water from the hair, but it's still an odd width/length that I have a hard time keeping it on my head turban-style. Another thing I missed is a hanging loop which would have made it easier to transport this towel to dry between uses. Overall, I actually paid a little more ($14.99) for this towel than it's selling now, but at the current price of around $11-12 I'd say it's actually a really good product - it works well , but there are some disadvantages . but the price makes up for it. I don't see a need / don't think I can even return it in the blue satin 'sleeve' it comes in (it's probably for presentation/packaging purposes only) - instead I think the makers will use a sew on a simple hanging loop which would make this towel even better and more user-friendly. I've increased my star rating from 2 to 4 stars because it actually works well (better than others I've tried) but has some minor flaws.

Pros
