DANGEROUS! in Litter & Burglary

Beware, this product tips forward like a swing when your dog comes out of the crate! My 6 month old french bulldog came out and the whole box was rocking or lifting or tipping and then the box fell back and the lip hit him. He was obviously in pain and had a bad limp. I checked to see if his bones were broken, thankfully not. Now he has fully recovered. The smaller box has a sloped and slightly curved leading edge. The front edge is a few inches off the ground and extends forward beyond the box. The leading edge is a problem and a very dangerous design. Didn't they test the test piece doggy? If it has been used by a cat they may not be heavy enough to knock over the box when they come out of the box but this product is advertised as a small dog bowl. I have two French bulldogs, both weigh about 20 pounds, which is about right for the size and weight of the product. If the dog jumps out of the box, it's not a problem if the whole box has tilted forward. This is when they step on the lid to get out of the box. The size of this product works much better than a litter box as its larger bowl size gives a small dog enough room to get in and turn around. With a litter box, boys tend to urinate right at the entrance. The back and side walls of this litter box are much higher than the regular litter box. The idea is that the litter will bang against the back or side of those high walls when the dog scratches its back after its work. It seems to work like a thought, however these higher walls are heavier. This extra weight should keep the pan down, but it doesn't when the dog walks away. By design, the drawer acts like a lever or arm that lifts the entire tray high in the air. As he falls back, he falls loudly to the ground. That the force suddenly comes down again is the dangerous part. If you have other small animals that are near the box when the dog is using it, he may be injured if he falls back. God forbid that at that time a small child was crawling on the box. The solution is to resist the pan so it's under the long manhole cover. Another solution would be to force the baby's front cover to fall to the floor. This will prevent the entire box from lifting. You can place a brick or piece of wood under the front cover as a temporary solution. Litter boxes do NOT have an entrance cover well in front of the actual litter box. Can they make the pan longer? And yes, I use quite a bit of litter in the bowl. There is a visual bug along the box, a protruding line. In either case, the company recommends a few inches of bedding. I hope they listen and fix the problem. If they do it will be a five star rating.
