Made in China, these socks are definitely made for smaller feet and legs and cannot be deflected by the edge. I was very excited about these socks because it was a good collection that said they were 85% cotton, 5% polyester and 10% spandex. I wear 9M and usually have no problem with socks, especially round socks. So I dove into a mountain of beautiful flowers. The first thing I did was feel the material of the sock. They definitely don't feel like they're mostly cotton socks. They feel more like polyester dominated socks, but I wanted to wash them to make sure they aren't how I feel. It wasn't like that. I tried them on and part of the foot fitted my leg well and was a good light sock, but the ankle and calf were very tight - more like a compression sock. I tried turning the bodice down but it has a real hem that isn't woven to that height. With the heathered socks, there is a very different front and back of fabric, so the inside of the crew is actually not even the same color. Taking off the sock is also not an option. I don't think I've ever seen a hem sock. Even if I could pull the top down these socks would be very tight giving them almost no bounce. In general, these socks have some characteristics. Pros: Lots of fun colors. But unless you have a very thin foot and don't want to give up the whole team, these socks will likely work for you. Good for skinny legs and people who don't want to give up command. Ankle.
