This starter was only visually similar to the original. Spiral tips on the pinion shaft below the ring gear are poorly processed and failed after the first attempt. Now I have to stick a small flathead screwdriver under the sprocket and then turn on the starter to start the lawn mower engine. That is a big problem. One minor issue was that it was a 3 hour job on a fairly large self-propelled mower that I have, only to find that the pinion shaft isn't engaging properly - it doesn't reach the flywheel at all without a little help from a screwdriver. . I've tried moving the starter as high as possible. The fact is the spiral slots are removed, poorly done right out of the box. I will not buy any more products from this company. When I remove that starter I will add a photo to this review of the difference between the factory starter and this one. The only advantage: If I lift the transmission shaft slightly with a screwdriver, the mower starts very efficiently. The inferior processing of the shaft is a pity.
