So I wanted to practice more in illustration and decided to use a tablet as it is just more convenient than ordinary art media. While the iPad Pro is a tablet for creatives, I've never been an Apple fan and make it a priority not to buy any of their products when shopping for tech. I've researched and reviewed reviews of other options available, and there have been some decent reviews from professional illustrators. He's a great size. Small enough to put in my purse when I want to take it with me. The battery lasts a long time and I like that I don't have to charge the pen. I spend 2-5 hours a day painting and charge every other day to keep my charge up. Also use it for social media and Netflix. The grip works very well, very comfortable and responsive. The camera is ok, not much to write about. As far as the drawing is concerned, I am very satisfied. There are some decent drawing apps for Android, some almost as good as Apple's Procreate. I've used Autodesk Sketchbook and Artflow with great results. Krita is also being developed for Android. If needed, I can split the screen so I can open the drawing application while I work on the reference photo. The only negative is the number of Palm rejects. Not entirely sure if it's the app I'm using (Sketchbook looked worse than Artflow) or the tablet itself. I bought a glove but it didn't help much. Samsung Notes was a pleasant surprise. A great note-taking app with many useful features. I started journaling and was able to easily create and organize monthly entries. This app also got good reviews for notes for school. I've had this tablet for over a month now and overall I'm very satisfied. Good value for money, great pen, light weight, good battery life and a good size for beginner to intermediate users.
