Solid brass, just what I needed

They really are solid brass and aren't magnetic so if you make keyrings that patinate well that will help. However, due to the hard brass, they also don't rebound if you're used to steel split rings. You don't have to deform them much. As long as you're careful not to open them too wide, they work great.
